Back in Portugal, I continued studying and when I started to teach Portuguese to foreigners, I discovered a new way of putting my experiences and knowledge at the service of others.

I know what it’s like not mastering the language and needing to express myself. Likewise, I know what it’s like to feel insecure and out of the picture (like a “card out of the deck”) even though I’m apparently succeeding in what I set out to do. I also know what it’s like to feel alone and misunderstood, even though I have friends.

That’s how the “Casa Portuguesa” was born. In this Portuguese home, I share my language and culture and also my life experiences with those who, like me in the past, live in a country that is not their own.

I’m also a social entrepreneur, a happy mum of an energetic toddler, and an aspiring singer and composer.
